Advancing an ambitious, pro-worker agenda to combat climate change and reverse inequality

Climate Jobs Massachusetts is a labor-led coalition united to address climate change and inequality with a worker-centered, diverse, and inclusive clean energy workforce.

Our coalition represents hundreds of thousands of working people in Massachusetts who are the best trained and skilled to build the Commonwealth’s new clean-energy economy from the ground up. This important work combined with labor standards—such as prevailing wage and project labor agreements, with union apprentice trained workers—provides a pathway to a strong middle class in Massachusetts. By focusing on the construction of clean energy sources as a way to combat the climate crisis, Climate Jobs Massachusetts offers a compelling new approach to creating an equitable and clean economy.

Working closely with the Climate Jobs National Resource Center, we seek to develop the labor movement’s vision for how to tackle the climate crisis in a way that creates good green union jobs, fights climate change and income inequality, raises standards and organizes workers in the renewable energy economy, while helping to support and protect workers whose jobs will be negatively impacted by the transition to renewable energy.
